How do I apply for living space owned by a housing corporation?
- After you have found an offer you like, click on the ‘Subscribe’ button. You will then be placed on a virtual list. You can always access the subscription list via MyHousing and monitor your place on the list to estimate your chances of getting that room.
When do the registration lists close?
- Every Monday morning. You will receive a confirmation email that indicates your exact spot on the list.
How many rooms can I subscribe for?
- You can subscribe for one room per week. You will be subscribed to that offer until you decline a room or another member accepts the offer. Until then, you cannot register for another room offered by the housing corporation. You can apply for an unlimited number of rooms on the private market.
How long can I postpone my registration?
- Every member can apply for a 2-working day postponement twice so that he or she has the chance to schedule a viewing. Make sure you always schedule a postponement on the website.
I forgot to postpone via the website, but I did have a viewing. Can I accept the offer?
- In this case, the offer will unfortunately be offered to the next person on the subscription list. You will have to participate in another round.
I want to accept. How do I do this?
- You have to log in to Maastricht Housing. Go to ‘My mediations’ and select ‘I accept this offer’. After this step has been completed, the housing corporation will take over the process. Make sure you always accept the offer online.
- Please note. Iif you accept this housing and then still refuses for any reason you are no longer allowed to enroll the next 6 months!
I want to recommend someone for a room. Is this possible?
- Please contact your housing corporation. Maastricht Housing does not handle recommendations, so it is not possible to do this online!
- The tenant can propose the new tenant by mail to the relevant Housing Corporation. In this e-mail you can even specify that the new tenant will take over your stuff.
- Minimum registration time for the new tenant min 6-24 months;

Location within the postal codes 6211 and 6221 12 mon 24 mon
The final commitment is with the housing corporation themselves.

I’m a high-level athlete. Am I eligible for the urgency rules?
- Students classified as top athletes (RS1 status and higher) by UM Sport may qualify for faster accommodation allocation due to their status. The requirements will be identified in consultation with both parties and extra registration time will be allocated as necessary. Please email us at info-mhousing-ssc@maastrichtuniversity.nl.
I have a medical condition. Am I eligible for extra registration time?
- An urgent request based on medical necessity will only be granted after contacting one of the student deans at the UM Department of Student Guidance and Advice. The student deans will then submit the request to the Adviser & Mediator at Maastricht Housing.
